This is the Cataclysm version of OmniCC.
OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items/spells/abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they’ll be ready for use. OmniCC should be compatible with any addon that uses a cooldown model.
A settings GUI is included, and can be shown via /omnicc or /occ.
FAQ
OmniCC is displaying text on Addon and I don’t want it to. How do I make OmniCC not show up?
- OmniCC has several different settings that control whether or not text shows up on a given bar or not. The first setting is Minimum duration to display text. This is the duration, in secs, that a cooldown must be for OmniCC to display text or not.
- The second setting is Minimum font size to display text. This setting controls how big an object must be for OmniCC to display text or not. The larger the value, the bigger an object must be. The setting is normalized at 100 meaning “about the size of an action button in the stock interface”
- The third setting is the blacklist. By adding text to the blacklist, you can prevent OmniCC from showing up on frames named like the text you’ve input. You are able to use the FrameStack tool to help you figure out the names of frames.
- The fourth setting is an internal one. By setting noCooldownCount = true on a CooldownModel, then OmniCC will not display text. If the addon you’re running uses its own method for displaying text on objects with cooldown, then I encourage you to bug the other to implement the noCooldownCount flag.
OmniCC isn’t displaying text on Addon and I want it to. How do I make OmniCC show up?
See above, but in reverse
OmniCC is still showing up after I’ve adjusted the settings you’ve mentioned!
This means that the addon you’re using has implemented its own method for displaying cooldown text. Refer to the usage guide of the addon to determine how to turn it off.
Finish effects (ex, pulse/shine) aren’t showing up for me.
Odds are, the cooldown you want to see an effect for is below the minimum effect duration setting. To fix this, adjust the Minimum duration to display finish effect setting.
OmniCC Install Instructions:
Download OmniCC 3.1.4 Cataclysm Addon. Click on a file link to start the zip file download. You would “open” the downloaded file or you can double click zip files to open them on Windows.
You unzip the downloaded zip file to the Game’s Interface\Addons folder and youre done.
Look at the shortcut (right click the Warcraft icon and select properties) you use to start Warcraft to get the path to where the game is installed.
Typical locations for the AddOns folder:
Windows XP: “C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns”
Windows Vista: “C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns”
Mac: “Machintosh HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns”
Warcraft only finds addons when it starts. Close Warcraft before you install an addon.
